FWA Hires New Staff Assistant

In June 2008, Family Water Alliance hired Sandra Velazquez as their new office assistant.

Sandra was born and raised in Willows, where she resides with her children and husband, Alejandro Velazquez, a Maxwell native.

Sandra comes to FWA with extensive experience in office procedures and will be the first point of contact for all FWA phone calls and visitors. "I am excited about the opportunity to join FWA and help to protect the small rural communities that provide such a unique way of life", said Velazquez.

Sandra will be the third full time employee at the organization. "Sandra will be a valuable asset to assist with the day-to-day operations of Family Water Alliance. We are able to fund this position through our fish screen grant program and look forward to her many years of service", said Ashley Indrieri, FWA Executive Director. ■
