Rural Communities Forced to Carry Environmental Burden
The last three propositions relating to water have been overwhelmingly voted in by Californians at large. However, local people who know that these bonds are in reality focusing on environment and land acquisitions, have not supported them. The chart below recaps the voting results of some the north state counties. So, the next time some one tells you that land acquisitions and habitat conversions are the will of the people, remember, they are not the will of the local people.
