Start Over Again?

You might have thought that you had commented on the proposal of Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) and the Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) for the proposed new power line, but WAPA and SMUD have opened a new scoping period on the environmental impacts of the proposed Colusa-Sutter Transmission Line, (CoSU). The public raised many questions regarding the need for the line, the location, and the impacts on agriculture. This new public scoping period is to gather comments on the addition of a new study area 20 miles south of the originally proposed project. In order for your concerns and questions to be answered on the new proposal you will need to file additional comments. There will be 6 scoping meetings held.

You do not need to attend a scoping meeting to submit comments on the scope of the Draft EIS/EIR. Previous comments are in the official record and do not need to be resubmitted. Please send comments by Tuesday, March 7, 2017 to:
